PSHE Curriculum

Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education at Pippins is delivered through the Jigsaw programme, a structured and mindful approach that supports children’s personal development from EYFS to Year 6 . The curriculum is organised into six half-term units: Being Me in My World, Celebrating Difference, Dreams and Goals, Healthy Me, Relationships and Changing Me . These themes are revisited each year so that learning builds progressively, from understanding feelings and friendships in the early years to exploring resilience, online safety, mental health and growing independence in Key Stage 2 .

Through weekly lessons, discussion and reflection, pupils develop confidence, empathy and a strong understanding of how their choices affect themselves and others. The programme supports statutory Relationships and Health Education while promoting wellbeing, respect for diversity and preparation for life beyond primary school .
