Great to see you!
Dear Parents/Carers,
‘Together we grow, Together we achieve’
I am very pleased to welcome you to Pippins School. Our learning community combines high expectations for all with quality teaching and learning and relationships to ensure that every child achieves a personal best. Learning lies at the heart of all we do. The curriculum is rigorous, creative, rich, relevant, broad and balanced but English and Maths are pivotal and are prioritised within every subject area. We have high expectations for behaviour of all children and for conduct and profesionalism of staff and the Board of Governors. Ofsted deem us to be a good school.
We provide a caring and secure environment for your child. The Senior Leadership Team, members of staff, the Governing Body, and our Special Needs Team are very supportive and work with parents and children for the benefit of all. They can be contacted through the School Office.
Our core purpose is to work in partnership with the families of our children to ensure that each individual receives the best education we can offer. We encourage you to support our approach and work and to take an active part in your child’s education by being involved in school life. Our school encourages children to take responsibility for their work and for their attitude towards others. We want our children to have the skills necessary for the future – to be confident and competent members of society. We are driven to support our children to become confident and capable citizens. We strive for a common culture, values and ethos across the whole organisation, ensuring that is is reflected consistently in both policy and practice. Our ethos promotes the fundamental British Values of Democracy, the Rule of Law, Individual Liberty and Mutual Respect and Tolerance for those with different beliefs. We encourage children to respect other people, with particular regard to the protected chracteristics set out in the Equality Act 2010.
We provide a caring and secure environment for your child. Safeguarding our children and staff is of paramount importance to us. The school's Governing Board, Nurture and Special Needs Team are very supportive. Mrs Nicholls (Nurture) and Mrs Doherty (SENDCo) work with parents and children for the benefit of all. They can be contacted through the school office. Ask for them directly. Alternatively, you can contact Mrs Davis or Mr Jalaf, Assistant Headteachers.
We look forward to seeing you in school and working in partnership with you. You will find members of staff approachable and appointments can be made easily should you wish to see a teacher for longer than a moment or two at the beginning or end of a day.
Should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
