What Is My Job?

We were visited by employees of Heathrow Airport who taught us about some of the jobs that people do at the airport. 

Communication Business Partner 

We learnt how the Communication Business Partner creates videos used in advertising, collaborates with colleagues, sends emails, uses photography to create posters and analyses data. It was fascinating that one person can do so many different jobs. 

Security

The people who work in security do their job to keep everyone safe. We looked at images of everyday objects when they had been through the x-ray machine that is used at the airport. We identified organic material, in-organic material, opaque materials and objects made from organic and in-organic mixes. It was really interesting to see that some batteries and playdough were missing from the boxes. 

Engineering

We played a game to match the three types of engineering with pictures: civil engineering, mechanical engineering and electronic engineering. 

Talent Wall

We identified our talents and interests and thought about which skills we need to develop to do the things that inspire us.
